We founded STRATA to close the distance between the ateliers of Italy and the architects, designers, and contractors who deserve access to genuine materials — without compromise, without substitution.

Our Story

Why STRATA exists

The market for decorative finishes is full of imitations — products marketed as "Italian-style" that carry none of the technical performance or craftsmanship of the originals. STRATA was started to change that: to give architects and applicators direct, reliable access to two manufacturers we believe in completely, Stucco Italiano and Diasen.

We're not a general building materials trader. We represent a small, deliberate portfolio of Italian finishing systems, and we know every product in it — how it's made, how it performs, and how to apply it correctly.

How we got here

Year One

STRATA is founded

Established to bring authentic Italian decorative finishes to a market underserved by genuine, technically-supported materials.

Year Two

Partnership with Stucco Italiano

Became an import partner for Stucco Italiano's full range of Venetian plasters, marmorino, and decorative wall finishes.

Year Three

Partnership with Diasen

Expanded the portfolio to include Diasen's finishing plasters, waterproofing membranes, and insulation systems.
